Doors are now open to register for the 2018 Diversity and Inclusion in Sport Forum to be held on the 11th October 2018 in Melbourne.
The Forum is a TEDx style event featuring short, sharp presentations by some of the country’s top athletes, practitioners, policy makers, administrators and academics, sharingideas and insights to get you thinking about inclusion and diversity issues in sport. It's a unique annual event that brings together people at the forefront of diversity and inclusion.
Similar to previous years Forum's, we've put together a program that will go across a range of issues - including child safety, womens participation in administrative and management roles, the inclusion of Indigenous Australians in sport, the inclusion of people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse populations and LGBTI Australians and what we can learn from best practices from overseas.
There will be ten speakers in the day, each will talk for 12-15 minutes. Following each session there will be panel discussion debate and audience questions hosted by sports journalist Francis Leach. Talks will be punctuated by the latest and best videos and social media campaigns on topics relevant to the Forum. Attendees will have time to network and meet with colleagues in the sector in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Both previous Forums have been 'sold out' so it's a good idea to get in early. Together with our partners and supporters we always strive to keep the costs as low as possible while delivering a quality event that will benefit anyone interested in making sport diverse and inclusive.
